Terms of sale
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This page is an English translation provided for convenience. If there is any discrepancy, the French version prevails. Read the French version.
These general terms of sale and use (the “Terms”) govern the use of the Chrome extensions Dark Mode FR, SpeedMaster and StreamMaster (the “Extensions”) and the purchase of their paid plans (“Premium”). They apply to every order placed from an Extension.
Article 1: Purpose and scope
The Extensions are published and sold by EI HUE FLAVIEN (Entreprise Individuelle), a French sole proprietorship run by Flavien Hue, whose registered office is at 173 rue de Courcelles, 75017 Paris, France, registered under SIREN number 933 656 423 (SIRET 933 656 423 00011), and reachable at contact@flavienhue.fr (the “Publisher”). The presentation website is available at https://extensions.flavienhue.fr.
Google is not the seller of the Premium plans: it distributes the Extensions on the Chrome Web Store, but is not involved in the sale, the payment or support.
A consumer is any natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft, profession or farming activity, within the meaning of the preliminary article of the French Consumer Code. A consumer customer benefits from all the protective provisions of the French Consumer Code, in particular the right of withdrawal (article 6), the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (article 8) and consumer mediation (article 13).
Installing an Extension, using it or subscribing to a Premium plan means accepting these Terms. The version that applies to an order is the one in force on the date of that order. The Publisher may update the Terms; a change does not affect a subscription in progress or lifetime access already purchased, and changes are communicated to subscribers before the next renewal.
Article 2: Description of the services
The Extensions are software for the Google Chrome browser and Chromium-based browsers, distributed free of charge on the Chrome Web Store. Each one offers a free version and a Premium plan that unlocks additional features. The three Premium plans are independent: a purchase for one Extension does not give access to the Premium features of the other two.
For each Extension, Premium is offered in three plans:
- Monthly: €0.99 per month, renewed automatically every month until canceled;
- Yearly: €4.99 per year, paid in one go for twelve months and renewed automatically every year until canceled;
- Lifetime: €9.99, a one-time payment with no subscription or renewal, valid for the entire lifetime of the extension.
2.1 Dark Mode FR
Dark Mode FR applies a dark mode, tuned site by site, to 21 French websites.
- Free version, with no time limit: dark mode on leboncoin.fr and service-public.fr, three themes (Minuit, AMOLED, Sépia), Alt + D shortcut.
- 7-day free trial: from the first installation, all features are available free of charge, without a bank card or an account. When the trial ends, no payment is taken: dark mode stays active on the two free sites, and access to the other 19 sites, scheduling and intensity control requires a Premium plan.
- Premium: the 21 supported sites and any added later, scheduling, intensity control.
The list of supported sites may change. If a site changes its design, the Publisher adapts the Extension in a later update; removing a site that has become incompatible does not constitute a lack of conformity, provided that the removal is announced and the other sites continue to be provided.
2.2 SpeedMaster
SpeedMaster lets you set the playback speed of HTML5 videos.
- Free version: speed up to 1.5x, floating widget, keyboard shortcuts, time-saved statistics.
- Premium: speed up to 16x, precise custom speed, automatic speed per site, speed profiles.
2.3 StreamMaster
StreamMaster saves the playback position of HTML5 videos so you can resume them later.
- Free version: manual and automatic saving, resuming playback, up to 20 saved videos, “Watch later” list, reminders, data export in JSON format and full deletion.
- Premium: unlimited saves, sync between devices through Chrome sync, categories and profiles, watch-time statistics, site list for automatic saving, import of a backup file. Export remains free.
- Users who installed before version 2.2: people who used StreamMaster before version 2.2 keep free access to all features, including Premium ones, without having to buy a plan.
Article 3: Prices and VAT exemption
Prices are in euros: €0.99 per month, €4.99 per year or €9.99 as a one-time payment, the same for all three Extensions. The applicable price is the one shown in the Extension at the time of the order.
The Publisher is covered by the VAT small business exemption scheme (franchise en base de TVA) under article 293 B of the French General Tax Code: “VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code” (in French: « TVA non applicable, article 293 B du CGI »). No VAT is charged. The amounts shown are therefore the total price due: the price including taxes and the total price are the same, and no tax or extra charge is added at payment.
The Publisher may change its prices. A new price does not apply to subscriptions in progress before their next renewal, after the subscriber has been informed in advance; the subscriber may then cancel under the conditions of article 5. It never applies to lifetime access already purchased.
Article 4: Ordering, payment and activation
- From the Extension, the customer opens the Premium offer and chooses a plan.
- Payment is made on a secure page of the ExtensionPay service (extensionpay.com); card payments are processed by Stripe. The Publisher never has access to bank card details.
- Premium features are activated automatically in the Extension once the payment is confirmed, with no license key. Proof of payment is provided on request at contact@flavienhue.fr.
- On another browser or computer, the customer gets their access back with the Extension’s login button (« Déjà Premium sur un autre ordinateur ? Se connecter » in Dark Mode FR; “Already Premium? Log in” in StreamMaster, which follows the browser’s language; “Already Premium? Log in” in SpeedMaster) and the email address used for the payment.
For subscriptions, the customer authorizes the automatic charge of the subscription amount at each renewal date. If a payment fails, access to Premium features may be suspended until the situation is resolved; the free version remains usable.
Article 5: Term, renewal and cancellation
Monthly and yearly subscriptions take effect on the date of payment and are renewed automatically for successive periods of the same length until canceled. There is no commitment beyond the current period.
When the customer is a consumer with a yearly subscription, the Publisher informs them by email, no earlier than three months and no later than one month before the end of the current period, that they may choose not to renew the subscription, in accordance with article L.215-1 of the French Consumer Code.
The customer can cancel at any time, free of charge, from the Extension: the subscription link opens the ExtensionPay subscription management page, where cancelling takes a few clicks. This link is labeled “Subscription” in SpeedMaster and StreamMaster (in StreamMaster, it is in the Settings tab), and « Abonnement » in Dark Mode FR, where it is at the bottom of the Extension window (version 1.0.2 and later). The customer can also write to contact@flavienhue.fr.
Cancellation stops the renewals: Premium features remain available until the end of the period already paid for, and no charge is made for the following period. Except when the right of withdrawal is exercised (article 6) and unless mandatory legal provisions state otherwise, a period that has started is not refunded on a pro rata basis.
The Publisher may suspend Premium access if the customer breaches these Terms, in particular by circumventing the payment system or by fraudulent use.
Article 6: Right of withdrawal (14 days)
A consumer customer has 14 days from their payment to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to give a reason or bear any other costs, in accordance with articles L.221-18 and following of the French Consumer Code.
The Publisher honors this right even if the Premium features have already been used during that period: no waiver of the right of withdrawal is requested when ordering.
To exercise it, the customer simply informs the Publisher of their decision with a clear statement, by email to contact@flavienhue.fr, stating the Extension concerned and the email address used for the payment. The customer may also use the template below, but this is not mandatory.
The full refund is made to the payment method used, no later than 14 days after the request is received, at no cost to the customer. The corresponding Premium access is then deactivated and, for a subscription, renewals are stopped.

Article 7: Use of Premium
Premium access is personal and linked to the email address used for the payment. It can be used on each of the customer’s browsers. The customer agrees to use the Extensions for lawful purposes and not to:
- circumvent the access control of Premium features or the limits of the free version;
- share their Premium access with third parties, or redistribute or resell the Extensions;
- use the Extensions to infringe copyright or other third-party rights.
Article 8: Legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services
In accordance with articles L.224-25-1 and following of the French Consumer Code, the Publisher provides digital content and services that conform to the contract and to the conformity criteria set out in article L.224-25-14 of the same code, for the entire duration of supply.
In the event of a lack of conformity, the consumer may require it to be brought into conformity, free of charge, without undue delay and without major inconvenience. Failing that, they may obtain a price reduction or the termination of the contract, under the conditions set out in articles L.224-25-12 and following. Any request should be sent to contact@flavienhue.fr.
No provision of these Terms can deprive the consumer of these guarantees.
Article 9: Liability
The Extensions act on third-party websites and video players, which the Publisher does not control and is not affiliated with. A change to these sites may temporarily stop an Extension from working on one of them; the Publisher then endeavors to publish a fix in an update.
The Publisher provides the Extensions with due care, under an obligation of means (a duty to act diligently, not a commitment to achieve a specific result), without being able to guarantee that they will be free of interruptions or errors. For StreamMaster, exporting your data regularly is recommended. These limits do not apply to the legal guarantees the consumer is entitled to.
Article 10: Intellectual property
The Extensions, their code, interface, names and logos are the property of the Publisher. Subscribing to Premium grants a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Premium features, for the duration of the subscription or, for the lifetime plan, for the entire lifetime of the Extension.
Article 11: Personal data
The processing of data related to the Extensions and to payments (settings stored in the browser, Premium status check with ExtensionPay, payment by Stripe), its purposes, legal bases, recipients and the rights of the persons concerned are detailed in the privacy policy, to which these Terms refer.
Article 12: Force majeure
The Publisher cannot be held liable for any failure or delay resulting from force majeure within the meaning of article 1218 of the French Civil Code, in particular a failure of the networks, of the Chrome Web Store or of the third-party providers essential to the operation of the Extensions (ExtensionPay, Stripe).
Article 13: Consumer mediation
In accordance with the provisions of the French Consumer Code on the mediation of consumer disputes, if you have contacted us first and are not satisfied with our answer, or have received none, you can use a consumer mediation procedure free of charge with:
CM2C — Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de justice
49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France
Phone: 01 89 47 00 14 (+33 1 89 47 00 14 from outside France)
Online referral: https://www.cm2c.net/declarer-un-litige.php
Email: litiges@cm2c.net
Using the mediator is free for the consumer and optional: each party remains free to accept or refuse the proposed solution, and to go to court. Mediation is only open to consumers. The request must meet the following admissibility conditions:
- the consumer must first have sent a written complaint to the Publisher and received no answer, or an answer that does not satisfy them;
- the complaint must be less than one year old;
- the request must be neither clearly unfounded nor abusive;
- the dispute must not have already been examined, or be under examination, by another mediator or by a court.
The mediation process ends within 90 days at most from the date the parties are notified of the referral, unless it is extended because of the complexity of the dispute.
Article 14: Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to more protective provisions of the law of the consumer’s country of residence. In the event of a dispute, the customer is invited to contact the Publisher first at contact@flavienhue.fr to look for an amicable solution; the consumer may then use mediation (article 13). If no amicable solution is found, the dispute is brought before the competent courts under the ordinary rules of law.
