Frequently asked questions
How do I change the video speed?
Click the SpeedMaster icon in the toolbar, then use the slider or the preset buttons. You can also use the floating widget on the video or the keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+Shift+↑ (faster), Ctrl+Shift+↓ (slower), Ctrl+Shift+0 (reset). On a Mac, use Cmd instead of Ctrl.
Does the speed apply to all my tabs?
No. The speed you choose only applies to the current tab (embedded videos included). SpeedMaster doesn’t touch a video until you pick a speed, and it doesn’t override a speed set by you or by the site in the video player.
Does it work on every video site?
SpeedMaster works on most sites with HTML5 video, including embedded players. Some sites with a custom player may reset the speed themselves: just pick it again from the popup or the widget.
What’s the difference between Free and Premium?
The free version gives you speed control up to 1.5x, the widget, shortcuts and stats. Premium unlocks speeds up to 16x, precise custom speeds (e.g. 2.35x), automatic per-site rules and speed profiles.
How do I buy Premium?
Open the extension, click “Premium” and choose a plan. You pay inside the extension, securely, through ExtensionPay and Stripe. Premium turns on automatically: there’s no license key to copy.
What’s the difference between Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime?
The monthly subscription costs €0.99 a month and the yearly one €4.99 a year; you can cancel either at any time. Lifetime is a one-time payment of €9.99 for permanent access, updates included.
Can I use Premium on several computers?
Yes. On each browser where you use SpeedMaster, open the extension, click “Already Premium? Log in” and enter the email address you used to pay.
How do I cancel my subscription?
In the extension popup, the “Subscription” button opens the ExtensionPay page where you can manage or cancel your subscription. You can also write to contact@flavienhue.fr. Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. You have 14 days after paying to ask for a full refund, even if you’ve already used Premium. Write to contact@flavienhue.fr from the email address you used to pay, or mention that address in your message.
The widget doesn’t show up on videos
The widget only appears on videos larger than 400 × 300 pixels. Hover over the video to reveal it. You can also control the speed from the popup.
Premium isn’t active after I paid
Open the extension, click “Already Premium? Log in” and use the email address you paid with. If it still doesn’t work, contact support and include that address.
Can I change the keyboard shortcuts?
Yes: open chrome://extensions/shortcuts in Chrome to edit SpeedMaster’s shortcuts.
