Save the videos on the page you are watching
FluxMaster finds the MP4 and WebM files and the HLS streams on the page, and saves them to your Downloads folder. HLS streams are joined into one MP4, with sound, without re-encoding.
Free: unlimited MP4 and WebM files, HLS streams up to 720p.
Features
What FluxMaster does
A simple tool to keep a copy of the videos you have the right to save.
MP4 and WebM files
Video files on the page are saved as they are, with no limit, through Chrome’s download manager.
HLS streams as one MP4
Unencrypted HLS streams (m3u8) are joined into one MP4 file with sound, without re-encoding: the original quality is kept.
Choose before you save
Resolution, bitrate, estimated size and audio track of each version are shown before the download starts.
Download tracking
Progress, pause when the network drops, resume and cancel from FluxMaster’s Downloads tab.
Names and folders (Premium)
File name templates (title, site, date, quality, language) and a subfolder per site in Downloads.
Several at once (Premium)
Up to 3 HLS downloads at the same time and a queue of 20, above 720p when the source offers it.
Easy to use
How it works
Three steps from the page to your Downloads folder.
Play the video
Open the video’s page and start playback: many pages only load the video at that point.
Click the icon
The icon’s badge counts the videos found. FluxMaster’s window lists them with their qualities.
Choose and save
Pick the quality and the audio track, then save: the file lands in your Downloads folder.
Limits
What FluxMaster does not do
These refusals are intentional: FluxMaster only saves videos that the server provides freely, with no DRM, no encryption and no sign-in.
- YouTube is not supported (Chrome Web Store policy).
- Videos that use DRM and encrypted streams are refused, before anything is downloaded.
- Live streams and the DASH format are not supported in this version.
- FluxMaster does not use your session on websites: if the server does not provide the video without your sign-in cookies, it will not save it.
- Some pages provide neither a video file nor an HLS stream that FluxMaster can read. Its window then says “No video file or HLS stream found on this page”.
A video is often only found once playback has started: start it, then open FluxMaster. If the page was already open when you allowed detection, reload it.

- No page or video address is sent to the publisher or to anyone else. No ads, no usage statistics.
- FluxMaster only contacts the servers of the videos on the page, to read their qualities and download the one you choose (without your cookies for HLS streams), and ExtensionPay for Premium.
- Site access is requested at first launch, and you can restrict it in Chrome. FluxMaster is turned off in incognito mode.

Your responsibility
Only save what you have the right to copy: your own videos, openly licensed content, or with the permission of the author or site. Personal use only, in line with the websites’ terms of use.
Files stay on your device: the publisher does not receive, host or share them. See article 7 of the terms of sale.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Why does FluxMaster refuse videos that use DRM and encrypted streams?
These videos are subject to a technical measure chosen by whoever streams them. FluxMaster never requests a decryption key, and its assembly library contains no decryption code: it shows a refusal before downloading anything. On a page that plays a video that uses DRM, it saves nothing.
Why does the free version stop at 720p?
It is the free plan’s limit for HLS streams; MP4 and WebM files are not limited. 720p is measured on the shorter side of the picture: a 720 × 1280 vertical video is free, a 1920 × 800 video is Premium. Premium qualities show a padlock before you click, and the best quality you can use stays preselected.
No video is found on the page
Start playback, then open FluxMaster again: many pages only load the video at that point. If the page was already open when you allowed detection, reload it. Also check that FluxMaster has access to the site, in Chrome’s extensions menu. Some pages provide neither a video file nor an HLS stream that FluxMaster can read: its window then says so.
Why does an HLS stream need twice the video’s size on disk?
The stream is first joined in a temporary space of the extension, then copied to Downloads: during the copy, the video exists twice. The temporary file is deleted as soon as saving is done. FluxMaster checks the free space before starting and pauses if the disk is full.
The saved file has no sound
FluxMaster checks that the expected audio track is present before handing over the file. If the video offers several languages, choose the track in the “Audio” list before saving, or set your preferred audio language in FluxMaster’s settings. Some audio formats (AC-3, E-AC-3) are copied as they are: the quality is then labeled “plays in VLC”, because not every player reads them.
A “without signing in” message or a 403 error appears
FluxMaster does not use your session on websites: it fetches HLS streams without your cookies and checks without them that an MP4 or WebM file is provided. If the server requires you to sign in, FluxMaster does not save the video. If the video link has expired, play the video again in the page, then retry.
Where are my files?
In your Downloads folder, like any file Chrome saves. The “Show in folder” button in FluxMaster’s Downloads tab opens it directly. With Premium, you can choose a name template and a subfolder per site. An MP4 or WebM file that was interrupted and then resumed may keep the name taken from its address: this is a limit of Chrome’s download manager.
Why does FluxMaster ask for access to websites?
To find videos, it needs to see the addresses of the video files loaded by pages, and to read an HLS stream’s playlist on the video’s server. This access is optional and requested at first launch; you can limit it to some sites from Chrome’s extensions menu. Nothing is sent to the publisher.
What does Chrome’s “On click” setting change?
With this setting, FluxMaster only gets access to a site once you allow it. The first time you click its icon, Chrome may show its “Reload” bubble instead of FluxMaster’s window, and it does so on every new page: this is how Chrome works. Click “Reload”, then the icon again: FluxMaster then offers “Allow on this site”. Chrome also blocks FluxMaster’s access to extensionpay.com: FluxMaster then checks your status every 5 seconds for 10 minutes after the ExtensionPay page opens. If you pay or log in within that time, Premium should turn on by itself within a few seconds, and the Premium page shows it without being reloaded. If not, see “Premium is not active after my payment”.
What is the difference between Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime?
The monthly subscription costs €1.99 a month and the yearly one €9.99 a year; you can cancel either at any time from the extension. Lifetime is a one-time payment of €19.99, updates included. You pay inside the extension, through ExtensionPay and Stripe.
Premium is not active after my payment
If FluxMaster’s site access is set to “On click”, first allow extensionpay.com for FluxMaster: open extensionpay.com in a tab, then, in Chrome’s extensions menu (the puzzle piece icon), allow FluxMaster on this site. Then come back to FluxMaster’s Premium page (if you closed it, open it again, switch to another tab and come back): it checks your status again, at most once a minute. If Premium is still not active, or if you paid on another browser, open FluxMaster, click “Already Premium? Log in” and enter the email address you paid with. If the problem continues, write to support with that address.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open FluxMaster’s Premium page (the “Free” or “Premium active” badge in its window) and click “Manage my subscription”: the ExtensionPay page lets you cancel in one click. Premium stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for. You can also write to contact@flavienhue.fr.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. You have 14 days after paying to ask for a full refund, even if you’ve already used Premium. Write to contact@flavienhue.fr from the email address you paid with, or include it in your message.
